St.Augustine Grass

A popular choice in the states of Florida and Texas, St.Augustine grass is a great choice for anyone located in a tropical region. St.Augustine grass is best known for its ability to thrive under salty or acidic soil, which makes it the perfect choice for regions in the south.

When keeping a St.Augustine grass lawn, it is important to note that this lawn does need a lot of sunlight. Prolonged stages of shade may cause this grass damage or, in the worst-case scenario, to die out.

A major issue with keeping a lawn with this type of grass is that many different insects can harm St.Augustine grass. It is important to use the correct amounts of pesticides and other measures to account for bug problems. Unlike other lawns, however, St. Augustine's grass is not very susceptible to weeds and other unwanted growth throughout the lawn. Of course, without a proper fertilizing St.Augustine grass, like almost any type of grass, may find itself among weeds nonetheless.

For those living in the tropical and southern regions of the United States, as mentioned before, St.Augustine grass is a perfect option for a backyard lawn. It grows well and will thrive when taken care of properly in warm conditions.
